Went to Otakon 2009 (obviously) and had fun. Was a little disappointed that there weren't as many panels that caught my interest as last year, but oh well. I cosplayed as Modoki (aka Black Mokona aka Larg) and had fun with the big ears although they blocked my peripheral vision occasionally. I had to carry around my hand-sized Modoki plush... it was the only way some people actually recognized what I was dressed as.

I glomped a few Sakura-himes (scared the first one, I think. Oops! But she was so pretty!) Found one other person cosplaying as Modoki! Didn't have my camera on me though so I didn't get a picture of the two of us

I found a Kiki! She had the broom, the big red hair ribbon, and a little Jiji on her shoulder! She was so cute!

As much as I love seeing all the many cosplayers and the costumes, I didn't take a lot of pictures. A digital camera that's really slow and a disposable camera aren't very good for quick shots.

Spent time in the dealer's room.... so many things I wanted to buy!! Never enough money ... or room to keep them in my room. *sniff* I caught up on my Red River series - only missing the latest 4 books but I waited specifically for Otakon (and the $5 Manga table!) to buy them. I found Basara vol 2!!! Now I'm just missing 19 and 20; they're just impossible to find! Finally caved and bought kitty ears with ribbons... and a bell earring. Very cute and fun to wear. Also caved and bought a Lolita-kimonoesque outfit which I adore. There were others I liked as well, but the one was expensive enough and I barely have room for more clothes as is. And little buttons- of course, it's not until after Otakon ends that I realize one of the sets is not what I asked for... it's not even a series I recognize! *sniff* Oh well. Maybe next year I can exchange it?
